But I am sure if he was serious about getting back on track, he could walk into a Championship or Lg1 team on a light/short contract and prove himself again. Needs to find that motivation I guess, and it can only come from him. Important to drop the deadweights in his life who have been leading them astray. |  |

He was charged in April with dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
He plead not guilty.
Trial is slated for 17th March and is expected to last 3 days. | |

A very good read as always from the Athletic.
It's great to hear that he's training ready for a return to a club in January, however I fear the trial not starting until March might hinder his chances at a Championship club. Will be a great pickup for whomever, if he can keep his head down and carry on wiht the career his ability warrants |  |

I see this argument a lot - people complaining about the drop in standards of journalism (I agree, by the way) and lamenting the introduction of AI (I agree, by the way), while complaining about having to pay for it.
When I started as a journalist in 2004, the pay was pretty crap - hence why I'm no longer in journalism.
Today, the pay is almost exactly the same as I was getting, only the journalists are expected to write for 6 publications at once and churn out 20 articles a day for online because ad clicks are the only source of income.
Honestly, I despair at how appalling most journalism is nowadays, but we've only got ourselves to blame. |
FWIW I pay for the Athletic and I am led to believe that the writers there are well renumerated for their efforts? Albeit they were already the cream of the crop in terms of sports journalism
It does show how far the drop off between a £1 a month subscription and a free article on something like FLW can be

Such a good footballer and would have loved to see him here permanently. Unfortunately, he can't seem to sort himself out, so no good for us.
