Satire is dead: Boris Johnson edition (v26598) 12:59 - Oct 8 with 1110 viewsElderGrizzly

Keir Starmer’s decision to accept clothing freebies “looks greedy”, according to Boris Johnson.

The former prime minister criticised his Labour successor’s decision to accept gifts of clothing and glasses, saying Starmer “must be worth a bob or two” as a result of his legal career.

Occasional reminder here, that 200 Hundred Pounds of Racist Mince In A Hundred Pound Suit accepted more for his tasteful redecoration of Number 10 than Starmer has over his entire career as a party leader.

Not saying the latter ISN'T a bit grubby, but Homophobic Honey Monster really doesn't have a leg to stand on here.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

The absolute brass neck of the man! Was he grinning and winking when he said it?

Hmm yes whatever did happen to Baroness Mone ? All gone very quiet on that front.

Boris is just playing the crowd here, he has had multiple holidays, refurbs, weddings are paid for by others with interests. Yet Keirs glasses are an issue, of course Boris whatever you say.

Next you'll be suggesting that he shed his security detail to attend a party (one of many) hosted at a villa owned by the family of a former Russian spy, that was under surveillance by the Italian secret service at the time.

You can see why foreign interests would be sniffing around to see whether Johnson could be a useful idiot. Whether any of those relationships were formalised, beyond awarding Evgeny Lebedev a peerage, who knows and we'll probably never find out.

Starmer's donations have shone a light on the grubby nature of that part of politics (although it's far from unusual in business circles). It's nowhere near the same league of #DodgyAsFook-ness though.

If there's another pandemic people might stockpile loo roll again, in which case Boris's book could come in very handy.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
