Moreover, money extends the legal process. All decisions are challengeable, every aspect of evidence is up for debate, cases can be sent back to lower courts to reconsider. It's all just massively protracted.

People hold her to higher standards. Probably because Harris represents "more of the same, but done better", whereas Trump stands for "change" (even tho he didn't change that much during his previous presidency).
Also because Harris is trying to persuade people she is a good candidate. Whereas Trump's supporters are either cultists, or Republicans who would never want to see a Democrat in power. With the latter two, what Trump actually does or says is largely irrelevant. He is a symbol, not a person. | |

It seems the Polling data has been skewed by the many Republican polls that have swamped the media. These have all been produced by right-wing leaning organisations that have used polling firms who no-one has heard of before.
I smell a rat. It means the average of all polls shows it a close race in the swing states. However, a leak of the GOP's own internal polling shows that they're losing in all the swing states.
That leaked data also shows Texas and Florida could be flipped.
However, It might not matter what the result of the Presidential election is.
The House of Representatives are key.
If the Republicans win the House then it could be Game Over.
The first item of business is to elect a Speaker who will be a Republican as they are the majority.
This happens 3 days before the vote to confirm the Presidential election on Jan 6th.
On Jan 6th, the speaker, through a bit of chicanery, could prevent either candidate from getting an electoral college victory.
The gives the Speaker the opportunity to trigger a contingent election.
This means that the Speaker will ask each of the 50 states to vote to elect the president. There are 26 Republican states but only 22 Democrat states so Trump would be elected. The other 2 states split their votes and don't do 'winner takes all' for electoral college votes.
Wyoming has just 3 electoral college votes where California has 54.
In a contingent vote they have 1 vote each.

Its actually been the opposite for the last 3 months until recently and all polls have been weighted in favour of Democrats.
Trump is on to win big and also win the House. Democrats have only themselves to blame.

genuine question, where do you get your news from, always seems to be very different from most, not seen anyone predicting trump to win the national vote for instance? (apart from trump himself of course!)
heard an interesting interview with a pollster about the shy trump voter problem. basically trump voters lie to pollsters or don't engage with them at all, so they underestimated in 2016 and concerned that they may have overestiated now | |
