Muric vs Hladky 17:12 - Oct 26 with 1538 viewsDublinBlue84

I honestly don't see the upgrade on Hladky.

Hladky wasn't perfect but he was far better distributor of the ball and Muric has made just as many mistakes as Hladky did in most of last season already for me.

Also our back line would have far more confidence and understanding with Hladky who they know and have played in front of for a whole season. Having to build new relationships is not ideal at this level, as we saw when Richard Wright left.

There's not £8m of difference between those two. We've been mugged.

Hladky was actually a damn good shot stopper too. His weakness was commanding the box, but if your centre backs know that, then you can compensate.

Muric is random and odd in what he does.

Hladky definitely wasn’t good enough. Muric looks like he might not be.

That’s the difference.

It inconsistency with Muric. Sometimes he dominated the box but sometimes he just leaves it. How are the defence supposed to know what he's going to do when it seems like even he doesn't half the time??

Sadly Muric reminds me of Andy Marshall last time we were in the Prem. Nowhere good enough. Burnley realised that last year and we seem to be finding it out the hard way. Got to drop him for the next game.

Yeah I don’t know why people are getting misty eyes about Hladky when he couldn’t command his box, often palmed the ball into danger areas, and let in quite a few long range shots.

We were absolutely right to upgrade him, although Muric might not have been the best purchase we could have made.

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

I find Muric consistent.

Consistently hopeless, consistently giving the defence kittens.

I was slaughtered for condemning him when we first signed him. Trust in Kieren....

"...palmed the ball into danger areas, and let in quite a few long range shots."

Isn't this what Muric is doing week in week out? And at least Hladky doesn't kick the ball straight out of play or to an opposition player or drop the ball under no pressure. What a blooming waste of £10 mil.

I wrote a second paragraph which you seemingly didn’t read.

I liked Hladky last year, but didn't want him in the Premier league.

However, I now don't really want Muric, would prefer Walton right now.

Hladky was utter dog turd when he first joined despite talk of him being good with his feet. He sat out his first two seasons with us and was largely forgotten. It clicked magically last season. Maybe Muric I st needs patience and understanding?

I dunno, I'm clutching.
