I have rarely been so angry after a game of football 17:50 - Nov 2 with 3343 views | GeoffSentence | Town were superb throughout, really, really good. The firsst 8 minutes were tricky and we could not get the ball off them, but for all that kept them reasonably comfortably at bay. After that Town were in total control, the press was fantastic, the speed of play was lightning, we played some superb football. The only slight blemish on the first half was the refs performance which was a little inconsistent, letting things go one minute, penalising the same thing the next. Nothing to write home about, but not great refffing. By crikey I would have welcomed that inconsistency second half, he could not seem to do enough for Leicester, which is not to excuse Phillips, who was on yellow and as out most experienced player at this level really should have had Morsy levels of discipline when running that tight rope. From where I was, the other end admittedly, it looked like Chappers had his legs swept away from him. I can understand why the players were questioning it. From then on all you need to get a yellow card was wear a blue shirt. The final straw was letting the double barge in the back on Morsy go, leading to their goal. Maybe I'll feel different tomorrow in the cold light of day, having watched MOTD, but right now I feel cheated.

Last week Walcott made out like the nodding dog on both decisions so I don't expect anything different tonight from whatever PL lapdog they get on to do the punditry.

Walcott is beyond pathetic as a pundit. Either just agrees with everyone else or avoids controversy. Adds no value. Not sure how he has managed to get so much airtime

He hijacked last week's section on our game, gushing on about Brentford's style for several minutes - neither GL nor AS could be a'd to interrupt to ask him what he thought about us. AS then offered a few bald stats & that was it, onto the next match

I have rarely been so angry after a game of football on 18:25 - Nov 2 with 2801 views | TractorWood | Not disagreeing but we didn't actually create very much today. Leif scored a worldy but other than that and the penalty shout (which I've not seen the replay of) we struggled to convert our superiority. There are no easy games in this league. If we are going to stay here we need to convert a lot of our good work into total philosophy and dispatch. Leicester are pretty functional side but we should have had them today. Thoughts the subs were bad late on. No idea why Burns came on, he almost had another wrong end assist.

We can look at ourselves for sure but this level of officiating is a scandal and it's not the first time this season.

Wow - from that angle, it was actually the Leics player who barged into Phillips after Phillips had pulled out, not the other way round

I have rarely been so angry after a game of football on 18:36 - Nov 2 with 2583 views | Esseeja | For most of the game, the referee gave us a lot of decisions that Leicester were enraged by. Then, he makes one of the worst decisions I have ever seen given against us. I'm going to presume that the second yellow card was the prevention for VAR to not give anything against us, it's either that, or you ARE allowed to just body check someone into next week anywhere on the pitch, because clearly referees are allowing that outside of the penalty a- wait, they aren't??? It's beyond infuriating, if it's a thing that can't be checked because of the second yellow, then rules need to change as that is pure injustice. [Post edited 2 Nov 2024 18:37]

Going by a penalty success rate we would have fluffed it anyway....

Only if Chappers got up and took it.

But made our own luck with that I’m afraid.

Sorry but Morsy was at fault there. Whether he thought it was a foul or he tried to buy a free kick get the ball out of play
