All the joy from last season is starting to feel like a long time ago now 20:22 - Nov 2 with 945 viewstonybied

Not enjoying feeling angry after most games this season. It feels like we're just moving from one kicking to the next at the minute. Surely we're due a few bits of luck and dodgy decisions going our way soon?

It is what it is.

No good bleating about it - just keep putting in performances like today and the results 'will' follow.

So many good things about today and it's our own fault we are upset with the poor decisions today. We should have been 2 or 3 up before the pen and sending off.

It's a huge learning curve and brutal but for all the frustration at the end, it was a really good game today.

After the Huddersfield match last season, I said to my mates "this is the pinnacle. It won't get better than this".

Turns out I was right. Sadly. Top flight football has had the joy sucked right out of it, with VAR and top team bias. Such a shame, but not a surprise.

We shouldn't have to be 2-3 goals to the good to be able to beat the opposition and the dodgy decisions nearly every week though! That's what I'm angry about, how are we going to be able to get any hard fought confidence boosting 1-0 wins if we have to beat the officials as well as the opposition. It's tiring and sucks so much of the fun out of games.

Other than the games against Everton and West Ham I have mostly enjoyed watching us. We are coming together nicely and the results will come.

We've just spent the last two years beating most teams and scoring loads of goals. That was never going to happen in the Premier League.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

This season was always going to be tough, VAR was always the thing that was going to annoy me and it has. But I love that we're on the same pitch as a lot of these teams and with our ownership I believe we're set up for a future that we could only dream about very recently.

We just need to hang in there.

The goal is to stay up this season, we can push on from there.

The thing is I'm not angry at the results, I knew it'd be a tough ride this year and I was fully expecting us to be in or around the relegation zone but to have this many glaringly bad decisions go against us is what it's really getting to me now. I thought on the whole decisions would be accurate, you're never going to get them 100% right and I was expecting the odd howler but this is more games than not that we've had bad calls go against us. I can put up with our players making mistakes and getting punished for it but officials making match deciding bad decisions against us so often is sickening.
