... with an old mate in the Lower East yesterday.
Quite a few other Towun about, had a couple pints beforehand with a father and son; obviously plenty of Spurs around us who were genial enough.
4 Towun in front of us went mental when Szmod scored, and immediately drew the ire of about 20 Spurs; stewards subsequently took them all down at HT, and only one old boy came out for the 2nd half. Must confess I fully struggled to keep a lid on things for both goals.
Towun contingent away to our right were in sublime voice throughout; it looked like absolute pandemonium in there for both goals, and at FT. Wish I'd been in there.
Spurs fans pretty much silent yesterday, seemed to be an overriding feeling that they only needed to turn up to beat us.
Hutch immense yesterday, closely followed by Delap - although let's face it, they were all bloody good, including the much-maligned Muric - his best game for us so far.
New WHL is, in my eyes, the best stadium in the country. Bloody brilliant place to watch sport.

Are the Tottenham fans not allowed to sing during the ‘oh when the Spurs’ being played on the trumpet pre-match because that was disappointing and surprising!

Chatting to a lovely old Spurs STH on the train down. He said he'd watched Spurs long enough to never expect a result despite amazing stadium and great squad.
