Not feeling completely excited for Sunday and it’s a horrible feeling. 09:13 - Dec 6 with 1244 views | Matt_Netherlands | First time in two a half feeling like this 48 hours before a game. Maybe I’m still pee’d off about how Tuesday unfolded, but it’s a strange feeling not being excited to be at Portman Road. Many will say “get a grip we’re in the premier league” which is completely fair and very much true, but I know there will be others feeling the same. I’m sure come 1.50 on Sunday that will change, here’s hoping!
Not feeling completely excited for Sunday and it’s a horrible feeling. on 09:25 - Dec 6 with 1178 views | DinnernotTea | Same and same with the group I go with. For me I don't think we've learnt any Prem lessons yet which given what a genius McKenna is, is surprising. We will never stay up playing such precision build up, every team is too good to be passed around 80 yards from goal. We need to hit Delap early just like every team has done to us so far. And I'd love to see us go 532 as well.... 3 centre backs of O'Shea, Greaves, Burgess already looks solid. A central midfield trio of Morsy, Phillips, Cajuste looks solid. A front 2 of Smozdics & Delap has the old school big man little man combo which I don't think many Prem defences would enjoy playing against. It won't happen but I'd love it to.

You literally just have to enjoy it, win lose or draw. The enjoyment of football is just eroding if people can't do that. Tuesday was a competitive game that we came out just the wrong side of. We beat Tottenham and played really well against Man United, then lost against Palace. So what? That's football and the league we're in.

Given the season do you think we should adopt the Christmas Tree? AC Milan under Ancelotti vibes. Delap Szmodics Hutchinson Cajuste Morsy Phillips Davis Greaves O'Shea Johnson Muric Tis the season.

I'm with you, and maybe its down to a much lower level of expectation but I find myself just enjoying the games this season, despite our PL status being at stake I feel a much lesser sense of jeopardy for some reason. We're back here for the first time in 22 years, yes we're not here to make up the numbers but we started from a much lower base and frankly que sera sera. Just enjoying it for what it is innit.

People were bemoaning about having to play the likes of Forest Green, Fleetwood Accrington etc and still moaning now we're in the PL. Last season was unbelievable and something none of us expected, to the point where we all looked at consolidating as a positive, so we should just enjoy this ride come what may.

Everton are only 6 points ahead of us and are in fifteenth position. Granted, saying that we need two wins on the bounce is much easier said than done but I'm convinced that it will happen and that we will finish seventeenth. Basically get a grip and fill up your glass to half-full. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yep. We either find some wins and scrape survival to defy the odds and stay in the biggest and best division in the world, or we go down to one of the most exciting leagues in the world with more games, more Tuesday nights, no VAR and in as strong a position to win the thing as we've been in for decades.
Not feeling completely excited for Sunday and it’s a horrible feeling. on 10:27 - Dec 6 with 926 views | bsw72 | I think it is the frustration that we are not being regularly outclassed but have just not *quite* been able to turn some of the narrow defeats to draws and some of the draws to wins. We are so close, but the loss of players like Greaves, Tuanzebe, Ogbene, Phillips and Hurst over the last few weeks have really had a big impact. Believe :-)

We entertain other top notch team on Sunday to try and go toe to toe with. Something we’ve done several times this season already. I’m absolutely loving the PL. It’s a different euphoria when we score as opposed to thrashing teams in league one.
