I used to watch this a bit when I was a kid, but lost interest in it in recent years. But surely we could be in store for team of the year. Normally in olympic games years it is hard to beat someone/something that participated in it. But with the huge amount of lottery money used my view is team GB broke even. Whereas itfc spent next to nothing a won big.

Unfortunately I doubt whether a team which finished second in the second tier of English football will be a strong contender for that award. Last season was a magnificent achievement but I’m not sure whether that will be viewed the same outside of the Ipswich bubble?
