Who out of Clarke or Johnson would you say is doing okay at the moment? I wouldn't say either have ripped it up in the Prem I can't imagine Everton would loan a player to a relegation rival either but besides that, it's probably the sort of player we would want

That signing has totally passed me by And it's not working out for him at Atalanta with that being the case?

I think Johnson has looked better recently in fariness.

I think there's a player in there for sure, he hasn't been consistently starting or developing understanding with team mate's so we can get a lot more out of him I do wonder if we will utilise him and Clarke in what is essentially a 5 at times, to try and add a bit more defensive steel when we are under the cost Obviously it worked against Tottenham but that was with Tuanzebe there

To say you "think there's a player there" feels a bit disingenuous mate. He played over 100 times for West Ham. Whilst I do agree he's had a rocky start, some of that is injury based and not getting regulary game time. Behind Axel? Yes. Ahead of Clarke? Probably. That said, Clarke is doing ok. His vulnerablilities are clear to see, but when he pulls the shirt on, we back him.

Ben godfrey? on 11:08 - Dec 18 with 2357 views | IPSWICHFANITFC | When I saw that he was available for loan the other day, I did wonder if it's something we might look at in January. Has it been confirmed yet how long Tuanzebe is out for? If he's back early Feb for example, it doesn't make sense. Another issue is he's lacking game time too. You could argue that Johnson needs a run of games to see more from him, so the same would be said about Godfrey and getting him up to speed. It's a gamble

Clarke for me all day apart from positional sense his a decent player. Aggressive brave decent going forward. Whilst I believe Johnson is timid at times and stands off his man. Whoever McKenna picks could be a tricky afternoon v Newcastle decent wide players.

As for Godfrey forget the Norwich connection Not good enough watched him for Everton dreadful at times.

Johnson just doesn't strike me as a good fit for how we play that role - when you compare him to Donacien, Clarke and Tuanzebe who have played that role for us, they are good sized defenders first and foremost whereas Johnson doesn't seem to be. He seems a much better fit for the role Wes Burns is playing

Johnson looked great when we played that 3 at the back with Tuanzebe shoring it up. He looks pretty lost positional wise as a RB as does Clarke which is why som many goals are conceded from play down that side.

100% Clarke battled really well in front of us Saturday up against a strong left side for Wolves. Linked up well with Burns and Omari

Neither of them look good enough for the position at this level to me. A clear priority for January.
