But there was a point in the Arsenal game where Odegaard (I think) got treatment and didn’t have to leave the pitch. Was there some rule that half the away end missed which meant he didn’t have to go off or was it the ref’s mistake? Ridiculous mistake if so given how many times it happens a game

It was said on here, apparently if it's a yellow or red card offence, you don't have to.

I didn't know that.

Was there a booking then? I can't recall.

Another very annoying thing was when the ref stopped play with us attacking down the right because of an Arsenal milking an injury in our half on the other side.

Although that is subjective as the assessment/treatment has to be completed quickly. I don’t believe that was completed quickly the other evening to allow him to stay on.

It’s only been a rule for 5 years I think

I had to let a few people around me know because the outrage was funny.

Quickly is 20 - 25 seconds.

It is frequently ignored at all levels. I had been wondering whether it had been removed.

....the bloke behind me was having a proper meltdown about it, so I turned round and told him the rules.

He then got a proper strop on with me, as if it was me making the rules.

I told him to STFU......and then bumped into him in our hotel lobby the next morning.
