I don't want to pi55 you off, things seem to be heading down the wrong path here. I love the guy, but IMO he is one of those that has been taken to our hearts, despite perhaps not justifying it based on minutes and goals etc. Perfectly fine if you don't agree, it's just my view of him.

I'd imagine Delap has played a lot more than you think tbh, given injuries to Hirst and Ali, hence the reason we are working so hard to find another front man this window.

Likewise, I just think you’ve massively over-egged how much he’s been unavailable

That said I seem to have done the same with Delap - he’s played approx 81% of mins having just checked. Stat is skewed slightly as based on games being 90 mins with no injury time, but obviously any stats for Hirst would be the same. In Delaps case I think in my mind I think he comes off earlier than he does as still tends to be 20-25 mins left on 75!

Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010

I’m sure that was the night that Simon Milton was on the lash singing along with the best of em at halftime down on the concourse

I was on my own that night and sat next to a total stranger who for the night , became my brother

Quality night for sure

Think that was a common thing that night. I went from standing next to a bloke I’d never met before, talking all about his family and offering me his Fleetwood ticket inside the 90 mins. Never seen him again. Love was all around.

Same here. Sat next to some random and his teenage daughter. Temporary family

For me it is that first touch goal from Burns' cross against Bolton! Two nice saves from Walton that day too.

That game still gives me goosebumps. GH goal was class, in fact, most of his goals for us have been very good finishes rather than scruffy or poachers efforts.
Is a fully fit GH a premier league standard player, I personally think he probably is.

My favorite night that I’ve attended in the last 4-5 years along with the Port Vale game at home

Handball , Handball , Handball !!!

I still think about those cries often. Even the old boy in front of me was getting animated.

This game was amazing. I sat on my own and actually threw my shoulder out for a couple of weeks helicoptering my arms at some point - presumable the penalty save. Got to be the most underrated game of the last couple of years for me and was the day I believed we could go up - I think that was the first time we beat one of the top 6 in the league at the time.

And the Hirst goal - what a fcking finish, what a fcking cross

I miss Hirsty!

Me too, bloody good centre forward. Such a natural, movement is superb, real shame he got injured when he did. I thought he was absolutely Sue Perb when he came in at Brentford.
