He could've easily sat on his 5 year Villa contract and been a bit part player but he's chosen to uproot himself from a club and area he's known for many years to have more of a chance of match time with us.

Shows a hunger to play football and a good attitude.

Not about him, but read about the Tottenham keeper (Austin) who is 25 and just played his first senior game after 6 years. (with one loan for 5 games to Orlando City not really counting)

Just sat there for 6 years not playing and being 3rd/4th choice.

Apparently after speaking to both Kieran and Sean dyche on the phone he said Kieran clearly spoke more sense, in fact he couldn't understand a word Sean said

I don’t know, perhaps he just prefers the coaching side of things. Don’t 3rd/4th choice ‘keepers usually spend more time hurling themselves around the training pitch during the week than the 1st/2nd choices due to risk of injury?

Think there was a story about Wrighty being used as fodder for the Man City Player's shooting practice when he was third choice keeper there so might well be right.

To be fair, at a club the size Villa are at the moment, to have made 11 premier league appearances this season albeit only 2 starts, isn't really that shabby.

Probably not but still upheaval and changing course after 6 months from a Champions League club to us to me shows he wants to play football

It does. I agree. It shows great hunger.

Wonder if he may have fallen out with them?

I know that was then, but it could be again..
