Question re away tickets/cov 23:33 - Jan 12 with 3141 viewsBury_St_Edmundson

As I live on the outskirts of Coventry, the wife has bought me super blues membership as an early valentine's
(She's the best)

How does one go about getting a cov away ticket?

(I know they're not released yet obviously)

One waits for ones priority window to become available, and then purchases if possible.

Your sales window will be after anyone with a membership who has been to an away game in 2023/24 or 2024/25, but before anyone without a membership.

Well she’s wasted her money if she bought it so you can get a Coventry ticket as you’ll have about as much chance as AHH scoring either a goal in open play or a penalty

Apparently it should be about a 5k allocation - will that be taken up in its entirety by members who've been away this season?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

We’ll get 4,900 - I imagine it’ll make it all the way to 5+ points at least!

If the OP didn't have a membership last season, they will have 5 points. That puts them behind anyone who had a membership last season too who will have a minimum of 10 points, whether or not they have been to an away game this season.

However, with 5,000 tickets available, I would have thought there is a pretty good chance of getting a ticket with 5 points especially given Coventry are a Championship team.

As regards an example of priority, here's a link to the details for the Villa away game

Gut feel is that you should be OK getting a ticket. There are 3 other away games coming up at Liverpool, Villa and Man Utd and I can see some people giving Coventry a miss as it will not be a new ground for many and they might therefore choose to save money that weekend by not going.

I looked into getting the train there… £190 return for 1 adult and 1 child, and up to 5 hours each way!

Yeah I had a look earlier and it’s bus replacements some of the way!

Shall drive it, very easy drive and only a couple of hours.

You'll need to create a ticket account, and log in on the date of sale for your points total (without logging in today, Villa tickets weren't showing as available to me even though I was eligible).

The sale normally starts at 10am, so it is a good idea to be logged a little before that.

Logging on at any time between 9.30 and 9.59 gives the same chance of where you will be in the queue at 10.00am. Logging in after that will put you at the back of the queue.
