Why was Jaden Philogene just 'Jaden' on the teamsheet and on the back of his shirt?

I looked on Wiki and his full name is Jaden Richard Philogene-Bidace.

Maybe, for whatever reason, he's chosen not to use his father's surname? I think Dele Alli and Memphis Depay did the same for similar reasons.

Maybe Philogene-Bidace won't fit on his shirt till he's added another 6 inches to his chest measurement? 🤔

I'd love to see a player with HARD on his shirt.
That'd be a big statement to live up to!

Jobe Bellingham also has "Jobe" on his shirt at Sunderland, not "Bellingham"

He wore that on the back of his shirt at one of his loan spells. Think it was his stint at Cardiff.

Edit - was actually whilst he was a Villa player before his move to Hull.

Yes, a few other players have their first names on their shirts. Jordi Cruyff was the first I remember to do this.

I have not known a player to be listed only as their first name in the team list though (on social media and on the big screen).
