Enciso is a step up on the current choices we have available in my opinion. Its okay us saying we already have players in that position, but that means nothing if the majority of those players often lack the extra quality needed. |  | | |

Imagine a couple years ago saying Julio Enciso would be playing for Ipswich Town.
Was legitimately one of the most exciting and sought after talents in world football.
Looks a good fit for us. Good ball carrier who can create from different areas of the pitch. Also someone who shoots from literally anywhere. Which is fun. |
I had that thought yesterday also.
I was actually at Stamford bridge 2 seasons ago when Brighton absolutely schooled Chelsea and Enciso scored that worldie. Score line at 1-2 flattered chelsea, should have been 4 or 5.
Without looking I think that was April 2023 so we would have been going well but never the less been around 4th or 5th in league one.

Why? He started our last game so is obviously in McKenna's plans.
People seem to forget we had 10 players for the front 4 positions post January last season. It'll be no different this season. We want to have plenty of options. You can bet a couple of players will be unavailable each game due to injury, a knock or suspension. |
The scenario would clearly only be if we were not going to include him in our squad (so had signed better/more needed players). Clearly we are not loaning out a player we intend to play. |  |
