So far I have… (and some are bars, but assumed they meant places you’d gather for a few pre game beers)

Curve bar
Black horse,
brewers arms,
the mermaid,
station hotel,
Isaac’s,
silver star,
the falcon,
bar 21,
@25,
Thomas Wolsey,
New York exchange,
revs,
battle bar,
silent street social,
arcade tavern,
the swan,
moloko,
Westgate ward social,
Mannings,
3 wise monkeys,
cricketers,
greyhound,
Lord Nelson,
spread eagle,
cock n pye,
the plough,
the Kitchener,
salutation,
mcginties,
the rep

Some that I was unsure of I googled the directions and did it as walking, and they came in as a mile, for example, the Earl Kitchener.

Anymore for anymore?

What was that like as a pub? Especially on a match day?

Remember going passed it a lot as a kid but never got to experience it :(

Was the Victoria at some point.
Remember that emptying when it was said Portsmouth were outside (the game when they’d been promoted) turns out it wasn’t Portsmouth fans at all…

That's the second of my pre-match haunts I managed to miss out.

Fanzone, Burley’s, would they count?

The Smock? Or is that more than a mile? Probably I guess.
Edit: as the crow flies it might just be within range…. 1.2 miles by road, but it’s not a straight line.

Uncle Tom’s Cabin?

The Old Bell by Stoke Bridge, and The Defiance for two from yester-year.

The Arboretum (Museum St)

And another old one; the Rose & Crown on the junction of Norwich Road / Bramford Road.

Spotted Cow/Sloanes, Bramford Road.

I've just remembered another place. Near opposite the Buttermarket (not Newt & Cucumber). It was only there a couple of years and ran by Terry Garnham from the shed at Whitton. Can't remember it's bloody name though. Would've been late 2000's early 2010's.

Don’t think anyone’s said the Last Anchor.

Would Aurora be in range? Maybe just?
Edit: As the crow flies, maybe probably just outside.

Jude’s on St Matthew’s Street is another one, albeit recently closed down.

Also The Baths? Technically a music venue though and I don’t think it opens as a bar.

Sterling work everyone.

Imagine the effort it would take for the Newcastle fans to list the 174 (I think it was) pubs within a mile of St James Park.

No Waterfront Bar & Bistro?

This place has gone to the dogs.

It's where all the Kool Kidz meet.

Also from Brighten the Corners… as well as The Baths, they opened up St Stephen’s Church pre-game recently.

There’s also a new one in The Walk - the Crafty Fox

Do crows always fly in a straight line now?

I've never seen that, but obviously at some stage in their evolution they did fly in a straight line. It's something that has perplexed over the years

I once helped a friend when he was trying to convert a building in Yarmouth into a pub.

He of course needed a licence.

While looking at the history of the place I discovered that it had been proposed as licensed premises before in 1880. That application was turned down. The reason being that "There were already 15 other pubs within 100 yards of the site. "

He got his licence because all but one of those 15 are now gone.

On Sunday I shared a Baked Camembert with a world renowned artist and ex-TWTD poster at The Waterfront pre-match.

We were like Lady & the Tramp with the spaghetti.
