Shocked broady didn’t start. Seems to play well every time he plays, not sure why he isn’t trusted with a proper run in the team. Start Jaden on the right, Hutch in the 10 and broady on the left next week. |  | | |

I wouldn't object too much to starting Townsend, but only if we have Enciso on for corners. Having neither Leif nor Enciso in the side would leave us short for set pieces. |  | | |

Delap has been a sensation,our best player this season by far. Hirst is a great option but let’s not get too carried away with a crap team performance albeit against top opposition. Hutch needs a break and Broady looks the part, I can’t go against that. We have Philogene now and Ensico so at least we have options. In regards Leif I think he also needs a rest, played nearly every game for the last 2 seasons and been a sensational player for us. Also worth noting he’s created a lot this season. What disappointed me today was the lack of bite and aggression to get into them. Allowed them too much space and time. The central midfield players were passive as were the wing backs. There seems to be a danger of a lot of us drawing too many conclusions from that last 15 minutes, around what's going wrong / who "needs"to play. Game was long gone by that point and Liverpool were completely in preservation mode.
I do think that we could do with seeing Hirst and Delap though as a possibility. As we are lacking the ability to hold the ball higher up the pitch right now. | | | |

I'd be very very tempted to start Hirst. He links better with the 10's and suits our system more, albeit Delap is a better player. I wouldn't start Townsend over Davis though, that's mad. He's a fine back up but let's not get carried away.
