Michu’s ankle(s?) let him down. He was hell of a player for that season and a half. I think he tried to struggle on for a couple of years but ended up retiring early.
Russell Martin sucked the pace and attacking intent out of the team, and Williams (Martin’s sidekick at MK Dons and at Swansea) has carried on doing the same. In between Martin and Williams they had a brainfart experiment with Duff (their Hurst moment, as he tore everything apart and made a right mess). They’re awful to watch in the main. They sometimes break out into playing football, so I think they’ll improve if they can get rid of Lamb…, er I mean Williams  |  |

My family are all Swansea supporters, so yeah we had in on the TV. Terrible. They seem to be wedded to an inverted fullback system, but the fullbacks forget they’re supposed to defend when they don’t have the ball. It leaves so much space down the flanks. I can’t imagine Morsy putting up with Leif and Tuanzebe getting in his way all game. | |
