If we did go down I wonder if many would get rid of their season tickets? I certainly would jump at the chance to finally get one again!

I doubt many will. Despite what people think, I doubt there are many "glory hunters" who have STs, and even so, it would take a few bad seasons for them to go.

Its not like we gave out more ST's when we got promoted.

I didn’t get rid of mine when we were relegated to League One so no chance I will give my ST up now, however if the worst happened and we ended up doing a Luton I’m sure the “well if you’re unhappy I’ll have your season ticket” mob will miraculously vanish again. In fact I can imagine our gates dropping radically now if we ended up being a mid table almost Playoff chasing outfit for a number of seasons.

I've had mine for 35 odd seasons and have no plans on giving it up. I've seen a lot worse than where we currently are.

Keeping mine....forever, good times and bad. Will always enjoy the ride. The Bolton play off, Jeremy S, Alex Mathie moments make it all worth while.

I think the answer is not many. Only supporters who have a change of circumstances or have sadly died won't renew.

The club haven't sold a new season ticket since April '23, before we were promoted to the Championship. So all existing season ticket holders were committed to watching League One football.

Add to that we now have a resale site, so there is little incentive to give up a season ticket, although this can only be used once a match has sold out.

On the plus side, Ashton has said the club will shortly be launching a season ticket waiting list, which suggests the club will start to sell new season tickets again having sold too many in 2023/24 and 2024/25.

I think the current ST holders amount to around 21,000 and a allocation of 3,000 for away fans. Whilst the average crowd may be up by between 1-2,000 from our Championship season I wouldn't expect us to drop to anything less than around 28,000. Why should we ? Given that it's odds on Delap goes we would still be able to get a replacement and have change left over and the 140 million or whatever it is from our Premier League payment. Possible I suppose one or two others may depart but there's no reason why we don't get the bounce back to the Prem whether KM goes or not.

Agree. Imagine a few will free up. Some people travel miles or have busy jobs etc. A relegation is an opportunity to have a break for a few years.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I wonder what a price increase and relegation will do?

I'd imagine prices will be kept the same as the PL and the spin will be you get 5 more games for 'free'.

It's what other clubs relegated have done anyway.

If there is demand I wouldn't be surprised by an inflationary uplift.
