Here's an article about 'Leftism' by Leftfield being 30 years old.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I’m sorry, that isn’t 30 years old. They’ve got that wrong

1995 was only about 7 years ago, right?

Was listening to a couple of tracks from that only yesterday on my way to work! One of the greats.

Unbelievable seminal album, was it the 22nd anniversary they toured again to play the entire album? Saw it at Brixton academy, seen them many times previously. Great live show!
In my eyes only the Prodigy Experience stands alongside Leftism as the best dance albums ever

I honestly find things like this (the aging of cultural reference points) a clearer marker of my aging than the obvious physical things (grey/bald/so fooking tired all the time).

How has 30 years passed since this was released? It still feels modern FFS. 30 years before that was the Beatles etc, and they were in black and white, but Leftism still feels like it is contemporary.

Remember when you couldn't easily search out music unless via friendship groups and therefore friendship groups, family and radio hugely affected your musical collection?

Remember when you might take a chance upon an album, not having wide exposure to it, not having it on the 'listen' stand?

I literally bought this album as the cover seemed to evoke a Dance music speaker system vibe.

What an album hugely influenced me after buying in an off chance in Our Price records.

Timeless. And saw them in Benicassim with live vocalists in 2010 and they were magic, top 5 act all time live.

it's also shocking that the kids of underworld and leftfield members aren't even newcomers to the music business!
