We also had a 90 minutes wait to get out of the car park. Needed a wee by the time we got 20 miles down the road at Rugby services and it was full of Town fans, so clearly everyone took the same amount of time to get away. Back in Ipswich at 9.15…. Can get back from away games much further away than that at that time.

Ditto. That said the very polite lady in the carpark, did warn me, when I parked and said don't rush back from the ground as I was at the back of the carpark, so I knew what was expected. Once out I had a clear run back and was home at 8:45 (didn't need a wee stop)

Yep, that’s where we were as well, but we we near the end of the row, so it took even longer.

What an awful journey back yesterday on 09:22 - Feb 16 with 2134 views | DJR | Fortunately I had a seat reserved on the delayed 18.17 from New Street to Euston, and it was not standing room only in carriage B, with a few seats available. But I wouldn't have got the 18.17 had it been on time. Getting back from Coventry Arena station last week wasn't great either, and I ended up getting a train from Coventry mainline station about 40 minutes later than the train I was booked on. Then hour and 20 can to Ipswich. Got in at 11.30. All worth it though! Could be pivotal moment in season that

What an awful journey back yesterday on 10:43 - Feb 16 with 1883 views | Steve_M | I got back to New St quickly enough but all the trains were bug gered yesterday. Had big delays getting what should have been a 22 minute local service.

What an awful journey back yesterday on 10:44 - Feb 16 with 1881 views | andytown | Same as you after booked train from Brum to London cancelled, got next one. Then, person under a train at Cheshunt, so wait on concourse at Liverpool Street from 2130 until midnight for the train to Stortford. Home 0130!
Got a train at Witton OK…. on 10:51 - Feb 16 with 1825 views | Bloots | ….but saw the chaos at New St, so decided to sit it out in the pub. Two hours later got a train with 4 more cans, had to stop at the Euston Tap for a wee, decided to have a couple more and ended up getting back to Essex at midnight. I’m really, really struggling today. Great point though.

What an awful journey back yesterday on 12:40 - Feb 16 with 1520 views | witchdoctor | never mind the journey back…spare a thought for the poor disabled fella who didn’t even get there..all booked on supporters coach ..some of the usual Galloway coaches were being used elsewhere so a company called Simmonds stepped in to fill the gap…wires got crossed somewhere and there wasn’t a spare place for his wheelchair on any of the coaches…at first they were looking for a spanner to remove some seats and relocate fans from one coach to spare seats on the other coaches..when that plan fell through a plan to provide the fella with a taxi to and from the game was muted but all it turned into was an argument between the club..galloway and simmonds as to who should foot the bill..at one stage the folk on our coach were going to organize a whip round for him but in the end the fella said fk this and decided to throw in the towel and not go…proper shambles from all involved ..no stops on the way or the return journey reckon someone’s going to get an earful tmw morning… [Post edited 16 Feb 12:43]

What an awful journey back yesterday on 13:18 - Feb 16 with 1436 views | Tony73 | We were on 18:12 booked train from New St so walked back and got there with about 20 mins to spare. Decided to walk as didn't want to rely on trains from Witton. Fairly easy walk, initially very busy but got quieter and by the time we got into the city centre just a few Villa fans around. Google says about 60 mins but in reality you could do it in 45-50.

Was that why they were late leaving? We left Ipswich about 9.50 - 10ish and saw the coaches as we went past Claydon. I said then they seemed to be running late.

What an awful journey back yesterday on 14:16 - Feb 16 with 1199 views | Meadowlark | I stayed the night in Birmingham. After long trips home from West Brom and Birmingham City last season I couldn't face doing it again. Got the shuttle bus into the city. That took a while but we were in the pub by 6.15 pm.

What an awful journey back yesterday on 14:26 - Feb 16 with 1185 views | Len_Brennan | Witton was a painful wait, not helped by the sight of bloke, successful pushing himself through the crowd, with an air of authority, by merely pretending he was on an important phone call. Looked like he made it, past hundreds, to the top of the queue. Everyone too socially polite to challenge him.

yep..apparently none of the coaches could leave until the issue had been resolved…maybe if the unfortunate chap hadn’t thrown in the towel we’d still be there..😅😅…
