A side pulled together in League One and the Championship, with only a small injection of Premier League experience.
We started the season so full of energy and bravery, the team spirit and camaraderie held us together despite our relative lack of real quality and experience.
We've added a few, and pretty well kept that team spirit alive, but the relentless requirements of even competing at this level for a parachute side are debilitating enough - for us they've been exhausting. But we have competed really well.
Tonight we had a real opportunity, but we lacked the guile and the ideas and ended up just knocking it around as the time ticked down. The pressure is up, the bravery has been knocked back a bit, and we're knackered.
But look where we've come from, we've given so much, and I'm so proud of this team and this club.

Does feel like a big one that though, even for us optimists. Poor defending and no cutting edge. Against an incredibly poor Man U side.
