Watched MOTD yesterday. In the summing up of the match afterwards we were not meantioned once.
Our goal attempts were shown but only in the context of how good the Palace keeper was.
I used to look forward to seeing us on a Saturday night but because of how unbalanced it is I dont think I will bother.

I’d probably say it’s because we aren’t really deemed a threat to cause a surprise result. He alluded to the fact the 3 promoted sides look like they are going back down, like last season. That’s how I see it too. I don’t want token gestures - spirited display by Ipswich - because we put in a decent performance, but still lost. We haven’t won a game in the league this year, the writing is very much on the wall and they know it too.

Poll: Where are we going to finish?

I really don't worry about this. Just watch and analyse yourself. We are small team at the bottom in the context of MOTD and the overall viewers. Once we get ourselves establish in the Prem in 3-4 years we'll get more praise ;)

I'd been looking forward to hearing Town talked about on the national shows when we came up. That wore thin pretty quickly when all they talked about was how we had no chance of staying up, and how many the top teams might put past us when we meet them.

Why does this bother people so much?

What do people expect?

We played better yesterday but still lost. It’s not as if there is a glimmer of hope or possible signs of a comeback on the cards.

We are pretty much nailed on for relegation and the season at that end of the table is pretty much decided.

They were not wrong with any of their assessments really, the majority predicted we’d play nice football and struggle, and that is precisely what happened. Unfortunately a chunk of the supporters got caught up in the hype, some of which are now an angry minority slating the manager and players after every game. It will turn nastier if next season isn’t a walkover for some of these supporters, and I think we’re going to be in for a reality check in the Championship, although we will be competing for promotion it won’t be the stride many are predicting.

We’re the only top flight team not to win in 2025, that’s despite having played Southampton, Manchester United and Spurs who are all struggling in their own way, we are gone.

I'm a glass half full person and still cling to one final glimmer of hope for us which is that we have to take 7 more points than Wolves do from now to remain in the Premier. Not sure where 2 wins will come from, but still hoping.

What do you expect? They have probably about 3 mins to cover the game, which was won by a team in really impressive form with some individuals who are making an impact. That is surely the story they need to cover.
Ipswich are meanwhile a team adrift at the bottom with the other three promoted clubs (which they did mention) and nothing is particularly new about that from what they have said previously.

It’s the blatant disrespect and dismissal of a club that has earned the right to compete in this so called “ premier league”. It’s plastic and corrupt to the core and full Tw @s like Lineker

Massive shame that the idea of Premier 1 and 2 divisions was not accepted as the EFL clubs went with the ITV deal which foundered quickly as it was easily hackable. That would have narrowed the gap between the divisions. It might have created another wide gap from Premier 2 to the current league 1 division, but hey ho.

Can't believe people are still moaning at this. What are they supposed to do? they dont do anything different for Leicester or Southampton do they? We're a team thats not won a game this calendar year and were nearly mid March. Some people think we have some sort of entitlement to be praised every week, I find it hard to do that as a supporter let alone a neutral.

Don't get me wrong I hope we survive as I am a lifelong Town fan. But to take a bit of gloss off your assumption that we are six points behind Wolves whilst being perfectly true our goal difference is -32 against Wolves -19, so 13 goals difference. Therefore either we need a huge upgrade in the number of goals we score or they need to let in a shed load or we need seven points more than them in ten games. None impossible, but pretty unlikely especially given we have Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth amongst our games coming up.

If you do want another glass half full view….while our April fixtures are harder than Wolves, we do still have to play them and their May fixtures are harder than ours with a run in of Man City, Brighton, Palace and Brentford
