IF we go down and IF McKenna stays.

Can anyone else see Axel moving on and IF he's sorted himself out, Brandon Williams coming in on a free?

I really can, the wage saving alone would make it make sense.

I could possibly see Brandon come back, but I think it needs to be carefully managed. He's been a silly boy (to be VERY generous), but he's had his own documented problems as well.

It needs to be weighted to protect the club because he let the club down last season. He also needs to work with the club on getting him the help he needs and keeping him on the straight and narrow. I do think sleepy Suffolk is a better place for him to focus on himself, rebuild his career (and possibly life) and give him a chance to make a clean break from his past.

I think there will be an attraction for him in going abroad and getting as far away as possible, but that's not without risk with regards support.

I was reading notes on the interview with him last night on the BBC, and it sounds like he has plenty of offers. Obviously he has a good connection with McKenna, but I do think he might end up abroad for a few years to rebuild his earning potential and then come back to the Prem once he's proved he's on the straight an narrow again.

I would have him back if we could though.

Heard he’s likely to head to Saudi.

I don't even see Axel moving out, I'm sure he was hoping for more minutes than he's managed, to put himself out there.

Unless there's something already sorted out that I don't know about, that is, I don't see him getting a better opportunity (PL offers).

*If* that's the case, then maybe he's not learnt anything after all. Chasing the oil money isn't going to rebuild his reputation.

I can't see us going back in for Williams. I think there's a bit too much baggage there and while I'm sympathetic to his challenges I think we'll turn our attention elsewhere if Axel goes. Or maybe we'll deem Johnson & Clarke as capable already with O'Shea.

On the flip side, it's a world away from his current influences and is a dry country.

Aren't his issues with gases rather than with liquids!

I don't see it happening and think it would be a bad move for us both. He appears to have bad contacts in this part of the world and hasn't been professional for a long time, not behaviourally anyway. Going abroad could do him the world of good.

Thing is, if you have these demons, the Sleepy Suffolk can provide with sall you need these days. He could be plonked in a village up the A12 and still find what he wants. Not so sleepy these days unfortunatley. If Bullard and Chopra could race up to Newcastle for a night out before training,....
