Not only that, how will they define what makes a film 'foreign'? Most major releases are collaborative projects involving multiple parties and countries.
A film can be made in Britain with a largely British cast but with American producers and American money behind it. Are those foreign? |  |

Not defending him - was a silly (albeit largely harmless) thing to post.
I think it is him following up on an earlier journo question when he joked he would be a good pope.
Think it an attempt at humour, nothing more, nothing less. Not a very good one but no real harm done tbh |
Its not an attempt at humour ( the joke to the journalist probably was because it was off the cuff) its just his usual attention seeking behaviour.
