It's a somewhat worrying event. Even if the damage is minimal, arson attacks against a Prime Minister's property are a new and hugely unwelcome development.

Counter-terrorism investigation underway. Whoever did it will be in very big trouble and rightly so.

At least we'll be spared onceablue's posting for a good few years.

To be fair, if the perpetrator claims he acted because of onceablue's ramblings on here, there could be a case of incitement to terror to answer.

For clarity, I am sure it wouldn't hold any water.

Domestic terrorism that. They're lucky we aren't America, but they'll do a big stretch and the usual suspects will call them a "political prisoner" etc.

To be fair, every terrorist prisoner is a political prisoner to someone. Anyone who describes them as such would be aligning themselves with terrorism. That might not prove a problem for the likes of SYL (should he chose to do so) but I am sure would for Reform/Farage, etc.

Come, come. Let's not be sure it was terrorism, until we know the skin colour of the perpetrator(s). There's still every chance it could just be someone with mental health issues.

A lot of frontline policing budget been funnelled into anti-terror in recent times.

Grated, whilst I daresay that anti-hero policing is in no way cheap, It strikes me as being as similarly shortsighted as funding cuts to community health and youth/mental health initiatives.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
