Why is Doku not running at the Palace defence? 18:05 - May 17 with 671 viewsRIPbobby

LOW BLOCK = run at the players with the ball. Make them commit.

This game is crying out for Grealish if Doku doesn't want to play.

First half he was tying them up in all sort of knots.

Because Palace are defending well and that Richards looks a real player.

Dribblers frustrate me so much. Run at your man, make them commit. Scares the living daylights out of defenders.

I got riles with Edwards when we were in L1 and so many teams sat back agains't us. Run man. Same with Omari at times. His dribbling is his biggest asset and he doesn't seem to want to do it. Mind you the manager has played him as a false 10 most of this season. Much better on the flank in my eyes.

Agree but Pep and other modern coaches hate unpredictability. It ruins their philosophy of everyone's individual roles.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

It’s a dying art for some reason. Maybe it’s another victim of the search for ultimate possession and positional play.

I’m with you on Hutch. I much prefer him on the right.

Because Guardiola wants the perfect goal.

It's pathetic.

Truly impaired.

I preferred him as Saruman, or, even more, as Dracula.

When did “ sitting deep “ become a “ low block “ ? Noticed it’s changed over the past few seasons and seems to be the fashion.

Just as a “ clean sheet “ is now called a “ shut out “.

Diving is ‘simulation’. Cheating elsewhere is winning a free kick. Rolling about screaming is ‘making the most of it’. Lino is Assistant Referee. Extra time is time added on.
