We've been so damn easy to score against in the last few months 00:06 - May 26 with 1212 views | Dubtractor | West Ham weren't even trying to score most of the game, and still got 3. Leicester got 2 from 3 shots on target. It's either our midfield being far too easy to pass through, Really basic mistakes, or keepers not making saves you really want a top level keeper to make. Another game today, where we're given a decent account & created chances, but come out on the wrong side because we are so easy to score against. Badly need to fix the midfield for next season, and personally I'm another who isn't convinced by any of our keepers. Palmer will be fine next season I guess (not if we come up again), but our lack of quality in goal has really cost us this season, with 3 players having a stint and none really grabbing the opportunity. Cajuste flatters to deceive, Phillips never really got going, Morsy tried but is up against old Father Time. Taylor hasn’t done a lot when introduced. Harsh perhaps but it’s been a massive problem.

I always try to be positive with my opinions about players, but Taylor shouldn't be anywhere near a premier league squad, and we won't get promoted if he is our starting CM next season.

Defending that must be a nightmare. It’s the same nearly every home game. We have to tighten things up considerably.

Intrigued to see if Cam Humphreys gets a chance next season.

We've been so damn easy to score against in the last few months on 09:34 - May 26 with 717 views | Guthrum | If you remember last season, when Leicester, Leeds and ourselves were staggering towards the finish line, all utterly exhausted, making mistakes and losing games (but we got that extra little break due to Cov's Cup run)? I think it has been quite similar, except that this time our opponents are fitter, more athletic and perhaps playing less at the very edge of their capabilities than our own men. I don't just mean exhaustion in the physical sense, but mentally also. If people have been under sustained stress for a considerable time, mental faculties become less sharp, reactions are slower, as is comprehension, it's harder to absorb information. Mistakes happen more easily. There is greater susceptibility to physical illness. It's not just the battle to stay in the Prem, but that a number of the squad had fought equally hard struggles over the previous two seasons as well. These things build up.

We've been so damn easy to score against in the last few months on 11:09 - May 26 with 621 views | portmanking | The midfield has been far too easy to pass through all season. I'm not sure a double pivot is the best way to approach life in the PL, personally. But if we are to persist with that system/structure, we need more athleticism and dynamism than the Cajuste/Morsy partnership offers - and I say that with the utmost respect for both players.

We won't go up if Humphreys starts as CM either. He needs another loan, to maybe a low down Championship team. I'm not sure if the plan was for Wycombe to use him as a ten this season but it means he's developed for an area where we have good cover.

We've been so damn easy to score against in the last few months on 12:46 - May 26 with 485 views | stonojnr | did we create chances though ? there was alot of huffing and puffing around and in the box but did theyre keeper make one save all game ? we had 4 shots on target according to Opta, 1 of those was the goal, so thats 3 more during nearly 100minutes of football played. West Ham had 6 and didnt even have any corners all game and were basically in shoot at goal and it goes in mode, and they werent even trying that hard. it summed it up 2nd half they broke had a player clean through, all he had to do was keep running and have a 1 on 1 with Walton, and the daft sod passed it to the wing instead
We've been so damn easy to score against in the last few months on 13:08 - May 26 with 449 views | ernie | Why does it always come down to the midfield or the keepers? A lot of the goals we concede come from misplaced passes from the forwards and our defenders being no where near tight enough when someone looks to get a shot off. You could see the differences from the way West Ham defended and blocked our attempts. It was palpable.
We've been so damn easy to score against in the last few months on 13:13 - May 26 with 432 views | Leaky | I thought this last season when we gained promotion. Said to my son we conceded 3 golas at Home to Rotherham what will Man. City do to us.
We've been so damn easy to score against in the last few months on 13:15 - May 26 with 424 views | Blue_In_Boston | We've conceded goals for fun in the last three seasons. Risk and reward was ok in League 1 and the Championship when the opposition aren't as clinical. Even when conceding we always fancied outscoring the opposition. This season we have been blunt up front and out of our depth at the back. Add in the temptation to overplay in our own half and you have the perfect recipe for disaster.
