Sheffield Wednesday in the brown sticky stuff again then 17:25 - Jun 3 with 3140 viewstonybied

Evans was bad, Chansiri is a whole other level! You have to feel for their fans having to put up with that chancer as an owner!

Charged himself? Fair play, good honesty.

You know it’s bad when you have to be seen to charge yourself 😆

The bloke’s a nutjob. The league’s checks and balances obviously aren’t working when we have such obviously inappropriate people buying up our clubs.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

All of Chansiri's dealings outside of football have been fishy for years.

Very misunderstood fanbase.

It turns out that those fans throwing coins on the pitch were just trying to keep the club afloat.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

Points deductions and relegations don't seem to hurt these owners (Dai Yonnge also) enough.
Where there are repeated failures to pay wages to staff, perhpas the only way out is to seize the assets - so that the owner loses everything. That should provide enough incentive for them to search a bit harder for a buyer.

Poll: would you rather

Would imagine however, the liabilities are far in excess of any assets (not just Sheff Weds), so not sure that would work. Actual fines to the owners might be more effective, but no doubt would find their way back to the fans somehow.

Actually having a competent due diligence for the ‘fit and proper’ tests would be a start. However, we know the PL/FA court more money however they can, so I’d have no expectation they’d ever block someone wealth enough (read into the Forest owner’s background for example).

The powers that be can only weed out the real chancers that don't have anywhere near the wealth to finance a football club. Was there anything in Chansiri's previous background that suggested he would be an unfit owner? Chansiri was perfectly fine when he went in and was splashing his cash. It's only now he has lost interest that it's going to pot. Also see Mel Morris at Derby.

Rumours of a 3 window transfer embargo now, looks like a stretch back in League One is looming for them again. I expect Danny Rohl will not be hanging around to find out!
