Race Across the world experience London 12:06 - Jun 5 with 1298 views | BlueandTruesince82 | Anyone done it? I have to do this as some sort of team building exercise with work. Running around London for 3 hrs (all on foot!). I love the show but doing this round London with colleagues is my definition of hell. Ideally I want to cheat like hell and hoping anyone who has done it can offer insight. After being put through this hell we have to return to the office for an afternoon of internal workshops. On a Friday no less. Am I the only one that thinks this sort of thing is pointless corporate nonsense.

Sadly not an option as it will be very obvious but yes. I would gladly pay not to go. Pray for train issues I suppose

Post the location and we can recommend some decent pubs.

Race Across the world experience London on 12:46 - Jun 5 with 1121 views | bluelagos | Sounds like a Geography field trip at school, where we were supposed to measure the length of stones on a beach every 100m, and plot them to see if they got smaller (long shore drift stuff) Or, you could out of the rain in a warm pub and just make up the results. No prizes for guessing were we spent the afternoon.

Race Across the world experience London on 12:51 - Jun 5 with 1092 views | J2BLUE | That sounds sh1t but still much better than the afternoon workshops. It's time this sort of BS died out. No one wants to do it and it really doesn't help anything.

Race Across the world experience London on 12:54 - Jun 5 with 1071 views | BloomBlue | Run round while holding your phone out, in London you're bound to get it snatched within minutes by some lowlife urchin on an eletric bike, and that gives you an excuse to immediately stop the exercise.
Race Across the world experience London on 12:56 - Jun 5 with 1058 views | bsw72 | Hate them. Anyone who needs to do these "team building" exercises to develop a team spirit and ethos, should not be managing a team. Effective managers and leaders should be able to develop a team within the corporate environment they work in.

Unfortunately we're going to be i pairs so thats not a option. Sad part is people voted for this. We could have gone bowling, which would still have been awful but at least wouldn't require spending the morning ru ning round solving pointless puzzles and would be close to the office. I suggested the pub, was vetoed

Race Across the world experience London on 13:19 - Jun 5 with 941 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | The absolute worst thing in the world is enforced "fun". God forbid someone wants to go to work to do work and then go home. The occasional trip to the pub after work with colleagues following a long week, cool. Stuff like this, awful.

My company learnt a while ago that giving people the occasional afternoon off so they could spend it with people they liked was better than the enforced fun of spending it with people you don't like!

Race Across the world experience London on 14:27 - Jun 5 with 774 views | EuanTown | I had a friend do it recently who said her feet were killing by the end of it. Can't remember where she went in London but she was not very good on the tubes so got lost loads. Is there only one version of this. As it might be that they change it to stop cheating?
Race Across the world experience London on 14:40 - Jun 5 with 753 views | BlueBadger | Are you being paid to do it? If the answer is 'no', then don't go. And when people say 'why didn't you go' reply with 'because it's my idea of hell, I won't enjoy it and I'll hate you all for making me go'. [Post edited 5 Jun 14:44]

Stage a fall in the office and 'injure' your knee.

Start to cough/complain of an itchy throat/sniffly a few days before. On the day itself you've woken up feeling like cr@p and don't feel confident moving too far away from the toilet. Blame kids bringing big back home from school. Simples

Go the whole hog and fake your own death. It's the lesser of two evils at this point.
