Chelsea, United, Spurs, Everton etc

Traditionally big clubs irrespective of current performance.

Not much upside joining a Brentford / Bournemouth from where they are, I don't think he will... but it is a possibility I guess.

If we lost McKenna, or in fact any player to Bournemouth then I think we may as well turn the lights off and have someone lock the gates behind them.

Yes they’re a relatively established Prem club who have had a decent couple of seasons, but losing prized assets to a club barely getting 11k crowds in the Prem with seemingly no reach or desire to build a bigger ground would just be a kick in the b0ll0cks.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

It’s awake.

(Considering we are a championship team now, if a PL team (of Spurs size) comes in for KM, you’re saying you think he’s hanging around here) 😂

No, I'm saying I don't know 100% what another man is thinking, what his and his family's motivations are, and what infrastructure/personal/remunieration he's been promised.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Have to agree all the shananagains last year with KM put us on the back foot for player purchases and I don't want the same happening this year.

If he goes, goodbye and thanks. Get a new man in and new players to get us back into the prem again or at least in the okay offs.

McKenna signed a new deal in May last year. It did not effect our recruitment.

Ground size is unimportant these days. What matters is how you spend your £100m of annual TV money on player recruitment. Bournemouth have a good squad & joining a club like them to show what he can do with a PL squad would be a logical next career step for him.

Crowds don’t come into it. They are just window dressing. The way the Premier League is, Muff could play in front of cardboard cutouts and they’d be a far bigger, more developed, established Premier League club than us. We are minnows compared to the likes of them and Brentford. It’s just the way finances work for the Premier League’s established clubs.

It’s actually quite grotesque and the gap is getting bigger. I can easily see the Premier League pulling up the promotion / relegation drawbridge in the next couple of years because it’s fast becoming the case that promoted teams add nothing to the ‘package’.

While I want us to be in it; be the best we can be, I detest just about everything the PL is and nothing I saw last season did anything but reinforce that view. Now there’s a contradiction.

If you listen to his interviews he is very up for the project. Just because a PL team loses a manager, that doens't mean he's automatically off. I don't get some of our fans who just seem to assume that we are a nothing club, no ambition and players and managers will just leave. Its a process, a project and one I firmly believe he is sold on -at least for this next season
