How do we think Suffolk would perform at International level 10:22 - Jun 7 with 3011 viewsGeoffSentence

When you think that it has a population nearly twice as large as Iceland and with a big football culture.

Would be light years ahead of the likes of Gibralter, San Marino and Lichtenstein and ahead the likes of Luxembourg and Montenegro.

What chance Suffolk could over achieve Iceland style

How do we think Suffolk would perform at International level on 18:20 - Jun 8 by PhilTWTD

Jon Sammels ought to be in the running for a place on the bench. Richard Money was from Lowestoft, so ought to get a mention in this thread if he hasn't already.

Terry Butcher was from Lowestoft. However, being born in Singapore makes it less clear whether he would qualify. Which leads to the question what are the qualifying criteria? If it is ever lived in Suffolk or lived a minimum number of years we could field a very handy side, I am sure.

Once the criteria are clear, what would the current best side be? I doubt they are all playing at as high a level as the current Welsh side. I wonder how it would compare with the level of Gibraltar or Leichenstein. But doesn't that then show how a well-organised team that are used to playing together can become very difficult to beat even without having particularly good players?
