Oh delicious Omari. on 11:27 - Jun 19 with 520 views | textbackup | When we officially signed him in the summer, I had a proper had to sit down, and say wow, moment. Firstly, didn’t ever imagine we’d spend £20m, and secondly, didn’t think he’d ever come here as a proper signing

Oh delicious Omari. on 10:41 - Jun 19 by billlm | O'shea is the one we need to keep, Joe has just said were renegotiating with him great news, So if say two clubs meet the release clause is it set at the 35m or can there be a bidding war, |
Call me greedy but I hope we keep them both. Gun to my head I'd probably keep Omari over O'Shea just because I think he could be a real attacking differential at Championship level. I wouldn't be surprised if he contributed to 25 goals next season or more. If 2 clubs meet the clause they'll then fight it out for his signature, so wouldn't offer us any more as it wouldn't make a difference. We'll have to accept it regardless.

Oh delicious Omari. on 11:15 - Jun 19 by baxterbasics | See also Jaden Philogene. Last I saw him play for the U21s he was looking very handy. |
He's an absolute player. I was gutted when he didn't come here initially and went back to Villa, he's one who is going under the radar a bit at the moment due to injury but if he's our POTS next season I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised. Need to find a settled role for him and back him.

Even if a club hit the clause, I am still not sure he leaves to be fair. The absolute main man working for a manager he obviously really trusts. The progress he has made under McKenna is phenomenal. If someone like West Ham hit the clause, I would be pointing at Summerville and looking at how his career stalled last season. Or even Carvalho at Brentford.

Oh delicious Omari. on 10:29 - Jun 19 by northstandwarky | Can definitely see him going to Palace to replace Eze unfortunately. |
Don't think he's been played muc Also, not so much of a physical presence. Palace might want Omari, but not, in my opinion, to replace Eze.

Also, does Hutch seem like record signing quality for one of these clubs? For that sort of outlay the potentially interested clubs need a finished article you would think. Whereas one of the top 6/7 clubs may drop that on a developing player, are they likely to be interested yet. And would Hutchinson go and sit in the reserves at one of those clubs? He was doing that 2 years ago. We are quite well covered by that 35m fee. It's high enough that it makes any potential interested parties have to really think twice. We are in a financial position also where we don't have to accept less.

Oh delicious Omari. on 09:44 - Jun 19 by tractorboy1978 | £35m really isn't an inconsequential sum though. In terms of guaranteed fee excluding add-ons, it would be a record signing for Bournemouth, Brentford, Palace, Fulham and a joint record signing for Forest. They are the sort of clubs you would imagine being interested. |
Is Omari is still here come august, I’ll give everyone in this board a blowie.

Talk about him being a good fit for Crystal Palace - but if they did go for him they'd surely want to be paying a lot less than £35m? Their transfer record is £26m (paid for Benteke). They managed to bring in Ismaila Sarr for £12.8m. Would they really see the value in paying three times as much for Omari? That category of club are going to ignore the release clause and try to haggle us into accepting £25m + add-ons.

For comparison, Bournemouth paid £12m for Kluivert too. I think Leif will be a similar case to Omari. Not sure what his release clause is but it is higher than the fee they've just paid for Truffert from Rennes - a player with 150 Ligue 1 games and a France cap under his belt.
