Relegation release clauses on 11:43 - Jun 19 with 1196 views | MattinLondon | I’d imagine that the relegation release clause stays in force until the duration of that players contract - unless a new contract is signed. Or, if said clause contains sub-clauses detailing when it can be activated in terms of specific time frames.

Hopefully any release clause becomes time expired at some point, the sooner the better. In Ashton we trust…..

Relegation release clauses on 14:55 - Jun 19 with 745 views | jayessess | Was it Gus Hamer last year where there was a lot of chat about his relegation release clause expiring some time in July? Would seem like a reasonable precaution for a club to insist on - you can leave for the agreed price but not all the way up to deadline day.

I would throw the bus at the Blunts for him. He is surely an obvious top target. Or whomever the Brighton computer matches him up against. You can be your bottom dollar we will be all over there computer and perhaps spend over our needs this season.

Yeah, or until the team are promoted again. I’d guess?

I’d be amazed if there wasn’t a date (and/or other conditions) attached to each release clause. Otherwise you’d have a potentially ridiculous situation that we get promoted again and the release clause is still in place. What that date is, though, is anyone’s guess.
