It’s the same if you visit a theme park (speaking of experience from Florida holidays). If there is a storm in the area, they shut everything that’s outside until it passes.

Yes American's aren't banned from games in America, well done.
Not everyone comes strapped to the ball game you know, in fact believe or not, firearms are prohibited in the Major Leagues in terms of the paying public. You go through metal detectors and there is armed law enforcement, crazy, I know.

If it happens at a music festival and a band misses there slot due to lightning then it's cancelled.

Having lived in england for 40 years, and the last 20 years in USA, I can assure you the summer storms are like nothing England gets. The rain and Lightning is life threatening. Not only can it be rain, very often it comes with large hail the size of baseballs, and wind gusts at tropical storm speeds. |  | | |
