Ipswich cinema prices! 14:30 - Jun 20 with 1873 views | baxterbasics | Was just looking at options for seeing 28 Years Later tomorrow. I have an Omniplex membership so normally go there. But wanted to know what times Cineworld had to offer in case there are better options for other family members wanting to come. Omniplex - £5.95 a ticket (with mine free with my membership) Cineworld - £14 a ticket! That's quite a disparity. I find Cinewolrd a slightly better experience/ambience, and Omniplex a little run down and tired looking in places. But with that price difference I'd expect them to be outselling Cine and then some. That's all.

There were only a handful of people in and that was on a rainy weekend which I would've thought would be peak. Can't see it surviving long, I remember there were rumours it was due to close but that didn't materialise.

I have only seen a film in 4DX once, because it was the only option: Logan. Just find it a big distraction, a gimmick to enable them to charge even more. I might stretch to an Imax for certain films, but generally it's 2D standard for me.

It’s very much depends on the film if I’m to watch in 4DX or IMAX. Saw Jurassic World: Dominion in 4DX and would comfortably say it was worth it, can imagine any film with car chases would be decent as well.

Ipswich cinema prices! on 15:54 - Jun 20 with 1434 views | Ipswich_Crazy | I have always used Empire, now Omniplex, since it opened. I have always had a very good experience while watching movies. I have the Omnipass, which is very good. Yes, there are a few areas that need a bit of TLC, but it's a very nice cinema.

Ipswich cinema prices! on 19:27 - Jun 20 with 1080 views | stonojnr | It's habit though isn't it, Cineworld has been the cinema for the past 25 odd years people went to. Omniplex is the small place stuck in what used to be a dept store. I was shocked last time I went to cineworld how bad they've let it go, the screens and sound need a good sorting out as it felt like cinema in the 80s. Not cinema of the 2025s paying 14quid a seat.

I've still not managed to watch 28 Days Later, let alone any sequels. When it's on Netflix, wife is around and doesn't like "horror" films, when she isn't it's not available on NF.

Ipswich cinema prices! on 01:54 - Jun 21 with 718 views | mutters | Near us (West Country) Vue cinemas have been the winner by miles! It used to be 5.99 per seat, though you could go VIP for 7.99. Now they have spent a decent chunk on upgrading th cinemas, all tickets are 8.99, which has the same level of comfort as the previous VIP. Even at that price it's still an amazing deal when compared to other bog cinema chains.

it is, but unlimited visits to see what, even before Covid when I had one of those passes, we were going to see a bunch of random movies in the end most of which werent any good. since Covid/Hollywood strikes, the output of new films has shrunk so much most cinemas arent viable anymore as a business. so sure you can go as many times as you like during a month and watch what ? and yes there are a bunch of new movies out this month and next, but then its dead again till Christmas

I tend to go at least once a week, so have a pass. It acts as an incentive to see films you wouldn't otherwise consider - the most recent one being Conclave. Had no real expectation going into it but it's the best one I've seen in quite a while.

Ipswich cinema prices! on 09:05 - Jun 22 with 181 views | Blue_Heath | Night of the living dead is brilliant, but lots of good comedy horrors if you prefer those e.g. zombieland, cockneys vs zombies. Some great TV series too, Walking Dead being the obvious one but Z Nation is great too.
