I didn't even realise there was a Lions Tour on, has this one been undermarketed?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Collectively pooling the best players from G.B and Ireland as the Lions gives a better chance of beating the Southern Hemisphere countries than sending individual countries. In theory.

It’s a rather unique sporting team event where the old fashioned notion of “team” and playing for your team mates means more then money and status

Ask rugby players what they think

Pardon my ignorance but what is deemed in general to be the pinnacle of a world class British and Irish rugby union player - winning cups and trophies for their countries? Or being selected by the Lions and beating New Zealand etc.

I think both are equally valuable.

Winning cups and trophies is both an individual and team achievement, whilst being selected for The Lions is a hallmark of significant personal achievement - very much being the best of the best.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

For a top player trophies can be fairly routine but I reckon for many the ultimate would be being part of a Lions series win in NZ.
