Very docile track for a fifth day. England look far too comfortable. India lack pace in their bowling attack to get anything out of it. When you factor in their inability to get wickets in English conditions, a long useless tail, total reliance on 4 of their top 5 to get runs it is difficult to see them getting much out of this series. I think it's probably down to the scheduling of the match.
TMS suggested earlier that Yorkshire would probably have wanted the match to start on Thursday had they known it would go to five days.
Otherwise it's probably a bit of an ask to get a decent crowd when you're having to put Day 5 tickets on sale at such short notice. | |
