A proportionate response from Iran. 19:19 - Jun 23 with 1737 viewsBanksterDebtSlave

6 missiles for 6 bunker busting bombs. If only Israel understood proportionality! Latest is that they are bombing political prisoners in solitary confinement in Tehran, perhaps they're trying to finish off some collaborators before they give too much away!!??

Not like they had many options - in previous launches other Arab states have brought down some of their missiles so they have very little support. The Iranian Rial isnt far off record lows and tends to drop every time Iran launches another strike. The regime would rather pursue nuclear weapons than prosperity and lead the Iranian people into financial crisis.

I doubt Iran has much more capability left at the moment.

Those missiles were never going to reach their targets either.

But what happens next? I very much doubt there will be regime change and Iran will now just try and develop a nuclear weapon anyway.

Well I’d rather Israel wasn’t bombing Iran full stop.

Perhaps naively but I assumed that was Israel trying to free them rather than kill them. I could obviously be very wrong. But it wouldn't make sense to kill people opposed to the regime.

yeah well you may be right. I was envisaging some escape to victory breakout and you are saying it's an assassination strike.

It's not really proportionate, 6 missiles for 6 of the largest non-nuclear bombs ever constructed isn't proportionate but it is symbolic and exactly what they needed to do to highlight a response to the populace.

They did warn Qatar and they didn't use their glide vehicles so all very well choregraphed on all sides.

Trump coming out and calling the response "very weak" and thanking them for the advanced notice is really unhelpful though but I guess to be expected.

In light of the supposed ceasefire breach involving 2 intercepted Iranian missiles it's going to be interesting to see what Israel’s proportionate response will be.

Why should Israel be proportionate if Iran are breaking a ceasefire hours after it was agreed?

Well Trump gave the IDF about 12 hours longer to attack Israel than he gave the Iranians.

'Iran denies firing missiles at Israel: Reports
Iran is rejecting Israeli claims that it fired missiles at Israel after agreeing to a ceasefire, according to the IRIB broadcaster and the ISNA news agency.
The reports came as Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz accused Iran of violating the truce and ordered “intense strikes” on Tehran.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that the military intercepted two ballistic missiles launched from Iran.'

Hard to know what to believe isn't it!! I certainly believe nothing coming from the Israeli State any more than Iran. Reassuring to read the right wing defence minister's proclamations though.....not!!

Not sure they could have managed much more of a response given how they've had so much of their military infrastructure degraded and various commanders killed. Their normal route of using proxy's like Hezbollah and Hamas isn't an option since Israel has done a job on those.

Seems priority #1 for the Iran regime is making sure they stay in power so that is what is guiding their actions at this point.

Regime change is unlikely without a boots on the ground policy and a strongman replacement, as the regime is still popular with the rural, the religious and broadly the lower classes.

And we all know how that went in previous invasions.

Israel AND Iran are rogue states though. That cartoon is uneducated drivel, completely neglecting the fact that Iran ARE complicit in genocide and starvation through their proxies in Yemen and Syria. In fact that’s quite insulting to the hundreds of thousands of victims. Providing intel on shipping locations, providing missiles, drones and training to the Houthi’s, Iran have been complicit in the worst hunger crisis in the world, even taking food from aid agencies (sound familiar?). Their proxies in Syria (Hezbollah) have also used starvation as a weapon as Iran looked to prop up the butcher Assad.

There’s some perspective too.

I get from the media that the strike by Iran on the American base was just for domestic consumption.
They gave a warning beforehand and the base was disused anyway so as not to annoy the yanks too much.
