Glastonbury on 14:08 - Jun 27 by The_Flashing_Smile | I'd say Arctic Monkeys is a slightly better name than Shed 7. Sheds are just so mundane, boring and the realm of dads. Arctics also had more swagger, a more charismatic frontman, and his witty lyrics, and accent to go with them, made them stand-out from the pack. |
Not that type of shed though. Shed 7 refers to the mobile prefab classroom they did their early practice sessions in.

there's a few stories about their name, engine shed seen from a train and the one mentioned earlier about them being an 11-piece band who shed seven to become a four-piece!

Glastonbury on 20:12 - Jun 27 with 879 views | ITFC_Forever | Caught it on iPlayer this evening, decent set. Lewis Capaldi made a good return two years after having to let the crowd finish the art for him. Also watched Gracie Abrams with daughter who was decent ebough. Back to the 90s now with Alanis Morrissette. [Post edited 27 Jun 20:21]

I think they're the next generations Coldplay with the bonus of the singer being more of a prat than Chris Martin. I really don't get it but obviously lots do and that's ok

I didn't like Alanis Morrisette 30 years ago and ironically I still don't which is kind of ironic, especially given her complete lack of understanding of the meaning of irony.

Can take or leave her. Deserves to be there more than some of the acts on this weekend though.

Can't see the appeal of them really, just a bunch of posh girls sounding bored. See also bands of posh boys and girls being all shouty and snarly whilst lecturing us all about the ills of the modern world.

This is actually a running joke that he says when he’s at festivals like this because he knows people who don’t follow him regularly will think he means it. When in actual fact it’s an act and he’s never truly believed he should be where he is. Was a full time heroin addict full of self loathing. It’s a proper good story actually how he and they have come this far.

Glastonbury on 09:24 - Jun 28 with 499 views | Dubtractor | Review of my glasto viewing last night. Osees - amazing Wunderhorse - also ace Franz Ferdinand - pretty naff tbh. Would rather watch Sparks, who they basically copy. Supergrass - ok, but felt a bit pedestrian, albeit it's hard for the opening band to do much else. Fat Dog - i don't get them, despite everyone raving about them, but thought I'd see if the live act convinced me. It didn't.

Watched it earlier with Miss Slave and lots of unimpressed Leeds students....the youth are lost Dubbers is all I can say! We enjoyed it though.

Still think you're wrong on Fatdog. Wasn't much of a fan until I saw them live then completely changed my mind Haven't watched too much today. Gutted Deftones had to pull out but TV on the Radio were very good and Weezer's set was pretty much a greatest hits which I'll always love. Currently watching Charli XCX and still waiting for my brat summer Hoping Westside Cowboy managed to make it on to the telly tomorrow but their set is before the Beeb starts their coverage

I'm looking forward to seeing TV OTR at green man this Summer. That Weezer set was pure nostalgia. Loved it.
