We didnt deserve teh win, but the 2nd french goal was a clear foul ignored by var, and some of the decisions were awful. Mead bursting through with no foul at all etc. |
Yes they were the biggest 2 of the things that were wrong. Whilst on tv you could argue it wasn't foul. But had the ref given a foul it would not have been reversed. And the Mead one was cleverly played by the French woman. Players should be called out for not being sporting, which she was clearly going down to try and win the foul and the ref bought it.
Reminds me of the Brighton player that was playing dead against us North Stand end near the Cobbold and when he saw the ball near him he got up and tried to play on. Then realised that he was close to death and went back down. Whilst I found it most amusing, it was clearly cheating. Maybe that is a rule that needs to be bought into the game... Delibarate cheating. :) |  | | |

She is clearly the luxury player in the side, but is not much of an athlete in my eyes. A bit of a Matt Le Tissier kind of player in a fully kind of way. | | | |

I can't say I watch women premier league at all. But I do watch the odd international game. Just saying what I see. She has very good technical ability and lovely feet and can clearly strike a ball. Just does not look like an athlete at all to me. Massively reminds me of Matt Le Tissier. You just need that kind of player to do something amazing. But would not suit a match where teams are doing the low block like the other night. When they took her off and put in an athlete England were much better. | | | |

One of those grey areas... she was in an offside position when the initial cross was played so that will be the argument for offside. But on the other hand, the defender made a deliberate play of the ball, so she shouldn't be adjusted offside from that. But you could also argue the defender only plays it because the attacker is behind her. Tricky. [Post edited 9 Jul 18:17]
