Should have chanted death to the peaceful protestors who are either opposing genocide, environmental destruction or policemen murdering women. They’d probably make the honours list then!

That’s quite an accusation. Any evidence to back it up?

The distinct lack of calls for the release of hostages held by Hamas.m does out my back up slightly but maybe they've done that elsewhere. Both sides have done a lot to cause bloodshed and death in the Middle East. Instead they try and present the other side as the aggressor and themselves as holier than thou. As usual, the truth is far more.muddied.

That would be true if it wasn't for the fact that a) they haven't changed their opinion b) their gigs are selling out and c) their records have sold in huge numbers since Glastonbury. Great post otherwise though.

... and they're anti-idf, not anti-jewish; equating the 2 is not fair on the millions of jewish people repulsed by the idf's actions

And is also a textbook example of anti-semitism in and of itself.

There’s a bit of a jump between not specifically calling for the release of the hostages and being anti-Jewish. As far as I’m aware he was (crassly and unpleasantly imo) targeting the IDF not the Jewish people. I know what you mean about the one-sidedness though. Israel have the might and are killing and destroying the most, but obviously Hamas are no saints. But I do think most people realise that. I’ve not seen or heard of anyone supporting Hamas. It’s always ‘free Palestine’ or similar.

I could be wrong but I would be amazed of Bob Vylan drives a Beamer.they overstepped the mark but millions world wide are very very p1ssed off with the IDF and the Israeli government and their enablers. Still killing women and kids and people queuing for food today I see.

I wonder if people don’t realise this because the media are twisting what he said. I can see why some people might be convinced he targeted Israelis given that the Mail on Sunday ran the headline “now arrest punk band who lead ‘death to Israelis’ chants at Glastonbury*”. The Daily Mail have also run misleading stories saying his chants at other concerts were against “Israelis”. If people only get their news from such places and haven’t looked at the original incident it would explain why some people are believing a reality that’s, er, well not real. The IDF have killed dozens of the hostages. Israel’s government have vetoed peace deals which included hostage release. This line doesn’t cut it anymore.

There’ll be a certain element of truth to this, but bloomers does this all the time, it’s not accidental.

Does anyone take Bloom seriously? Genuinely thought he was a crap comedy creation. Just pops up and states something daft as fact then leaves.
