I was trying to figure out how we have given away 5 free kicks and them 10 and we have 2 booked? Confused. Hard trying to interpret a game on a gambling site. lol

EDIT:

Ref clamping down on how much time Palmer taking on the ball; already pulled him up on it once and gave a corner.

Looked like he gave another corner for the same offence, but changed that to an indirect free kick after O'Shea said something he got booked for (free kick was given in the spot where he was standing)...

He did.

I’m not sure what the commentators were watching. He held the ball from the shot. Released it took a couple of touches and picked it up again

As I saw it ...

He made a comfortable save with his hands, but didn't catch it, just palmed it down to his feet, dribbled out for a bit , then picked it up. Which I think is allowed as he didn't catch it originally.

Palmer's hand was on top of the ball, the ball was on the ground, he rolled it to his feet, dribbled, then picked it up. That is doubtful of a foul, and if in doubt, you shouldn't call it. IFKs from there are worse than penalties, they should be reserved for CLEAR fouls.

I don't understand how he let's them take the free kick while we are resetting...doesn't matter.

Would need to see it again. But absolutely amazed to see that given in a friendly. Never happens. And the corner one was so borderline. It's like has desperate to show everyone al the rules he knows. Bizarre stuff. It's no bad thing for the friendly though. Keeps it alive and I think scenarios like this are all good for the real stuff. How we react to conceding and a second half where the opposition have a bit of momentum. The result doesn't really matter. It's getting the mind and body back on track.

It was confusing, but it looked like we all rushed out, paused and allowed the player to score directly. Yet it was an indirect freekick? And if the guy had touched the ball making the scorer legit, why did we stop the rush.

He didn’t though he grounded the ball in the save. Didn’t pick it up from the ground. Released it, dribbled it and then pick it up.

If you count the first on as handing, then your effectively saying if you save the ball with your hands, and for example parry it, you then can’t touch it again with your hands, which is a nonsense.

Hopefully there’ll be a replay at some point to clarify, but I reckon that the new 8 second rule has had an impact with Palmer having already been penalised once. He’s clearly not wanted the 8 seconds to start on the follow up occasion

I think they went before the ball was played which is why they stopped. Thought it was quite clever play by the opposition tbf
