If they sell Wissa too , push price up for Hutch. Reckon 40 million not an issue

I actually wonder if Hutchinson may think twice about going to Brentford if they lose Mbeumo *and* Wissa. It's widely reported that Brentford didn't envisage losing either player this summer, so it leaves a gaping hole in their spine, along with Norgaard and Flekken.

While Omari will believe in himself to step into Mbeumo's shoes, there'll be little margin for error.

I still think someone like a Forest or West Ham is our biggest danger to losing him.

But they still have the one thing to offer that we can’t. Arguably the most important thing to a young and hungry elite professional. PL football.

But for how long, considering they are selling the spine of their team and T Frank has left for Spurs...? Lesser things have disrupted bigger clubs in the past.

Despite the above inference, I am not saying they are a dead cert to go down, but I think they will take some time to get back to they level of the past few seasons.

Think I read somewhere that OH turned down Sunderland/Burnley/Leeds as didn't want another relegation battle...

Poll: Promotion?

Very hard for a player like Omari to shine in a struggling team.

Showed flashes of brilliance for us last season, but nothing like how he played for the U21s this summer.

I’m not sure what’s happening obviously but I’d be very very surprised if we hang on to him

That said , he could have and would have an amazing season with us this season and his stock wouldn’t decrease IMHO it’d potentially only increase should he have the season we would anticipate

With that in mind ,having a sabbatical from the Premier League this season would help us command a higher fee and OH get a better deal if things went to plan … that could even happen in January if push came to shove

Well……we can all wish

It's a terrible way to do business. We need to be seen by PL clubs as a great club to do business with, and seen by the next batch of Omaris as a great club to go to and develop at, before securing a move.

The U21's is a lower level than the PL in fairness?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Getting the best value for your players is not a terrible way to do business but it is also not about holding Brentford to ransom, we can't be seen to be a pushover by clubs either. It's a balance between both worlds.

Currently we are almost certainly seen as a good developing ground for players, especially with McKenna in place and the new Cat 1 status.

Exactly the reason we went up the wrong season, lump on Leeds surviving,
Better chance than the other two

Think Sunderland might do it. Xhaka is a great signing and they are going for it in the market big time.

Poll: Who do we think McKenna (not you) will partner Greaves with ?

Think Sunderland and Leeds will be straight back down (hope so anyway) - Burnley have a fighting chance and Brentford will be down there

It's not. It's about getting a good price for the player. As we don't need to sell we can hold out and push the price as high as we can. Like they did with Man U
