Last Premier League winner to sign for Town? 21:24 - Jul 23 with 1506 viewsChris_ITFC

Excluding loans. Sorry if it’s been done… probably a more recent answer than I expect anyway.

Poll: So, how many league wins did you see in person?

I don’t actually know the answer… but he never won it.

I added “excluding loans” when I realised it was literally last season! (KP)

Won it with arsenal in 01-02, no? But yeah, didn't see the no loans part

Was wondering if Brandon Williams won it with utd but then remembered utd have been awful for well over a decade now

Didn’t make enough appearances to qualify apparently - was confused why it didn’t appear in his Honours on Wikipedia.

“ In his first season at Arsenal, Jeffers made only six league appearances scoring just two goals; not even enough at the time to claim a Premier League winners medal with his new teammates.”

Absolutely… so that’s 2011, if we count the second return.

Any raise on 2011?

Similar vein - Liam Delap made league appearances for Man City in both 2020/21 and 2021/22 but not enough to warrant a medal

Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010

Was Lee Chapman the first one?

EDIT: Just checked and Leeds won the title the season before the Premier League started so he never did.

I was going to suggest Delap.

Yeah, checked him too.

Young feels like a ‘proper’ one, unlike Kalvin / Delap / Wright etc.

If you want a really ludicrous one, Lee Martin started the final game for Man U when they won the league in 2008/09…!

Yes, I think Lee Chapman was the last champion (playing most of the matches) to play for Ipswich (just before it was renamed the Premiership).

Don't forget Wark was a 2x league winner when we signed him in 1988.
Possibly our most decorated signing ever - before today?
