So with the season starting in under 2 weeks and the team in desperate need of another CM, it would be amazing if we can pull a deal for Hackney.
My concern is a prem side will take a low risk punt and essentially muscle us out.
Hopefully we have some other targets in mind as running out of road to get this vital slot replaced. [Post edited 28 Jul 11:51]

If Kalvin is best we can do for now and he is willing to take a serious pay cut then I'll take that over nothing.

Why would it be low risk? With the transfer fee and rumoured wage on offer, any deal won’t exactly be cheap even for a PL club. Plus, over the course of any contract, he will take up a squad space.

There are a lot more loan players allowed in this division, usually from Prem' clubs and younger. These don't normally get concluded until later.
I hope we don't load up on loans unless they have a reasonable buy option but we will no doubt add a couple more at some point. |  | | |
