Finally out of the car park so thoughts on last night 06:43 - Jul 30 with 2008 views | Blue_Heath | Firstly, I hate out of town stadiums, I am so pleased we have PR and have invested heavily into it recently. For context I am equidistant from both grounds at PR I never leave before the end and am home by 5.30 on a Saturday. In comparison got home at 11.15 last night which is ludicrous. Hard to read too much into a friendly as I am guessing Charlton were not full strength and our starters were likely second XI? My positives were: Cipre - what a beast, I can see him being Edmundson this year by coming in for certain games to nullify someone. That said would happily have him in first Xi. Barbrook/Humphreys - both did well and did the Morsy collecting pass from the keeper well, liked the look of Barbrook but think both maybe a little lightweight for top end Championship, Barbrook looks a prospect and hope that he gets a decent loan to progress this year. Al Hamadi - Tries hard, you can't fault the lad and eventually got his goal and displayed so nice touches at times but equally some very poor ones and finishes as well. Third choice striker at best, sorry Ali. Ashley Young - Thought he looked very assured, despite the moans here very happy with him, hope he can teach Johnson/Clarke a thing or two. Jack Clarke - great goal really hope he gets a consistent run and gets going this season. Ogbene - good runner but we need to put balls in the box, far too many times we get in an attacking position and do a Man City and pass, pass, pass back. Hutch - tbh never thought I'd see him in a Town shirt again. Hackney - reading we had agreed a deal after game. Negatives: Muric - the booing was uncalled for, wasn't happy with that. Baggot - negative is harsh, he did a few good things but sadly he's not going to make the grade. We had a lot of possession in first half but created very little with it, we need to be more incisive, really annoys me when we don't cross the ball when in good positions. Overall, a win so will take that, it's been a long time since I saw one in the flesh.
Finally out of the car park so thoughts on last night on 07:41 - Jul 30 with 1663 views | bsw72 | I gave up last night. Was taking my father-in-law who has mobility issues so walks with crutches. Having spent 35 mins in traffic jam getting from A134 to Stadium to drop him off, the thought of another 30 mins just to get to park and ride plus then the post match chaos of trying to get out of the park and ride to pick him up and drive home put me off. Not sure whether was just weight of traffic but pretty frustrated with the whole thing. I left at the same time I would to get to PR for equivalent KO which is about equal distance from home.

They were better off at Layer Road. I wasn’t there, but if anyone booed Muric they should be ashamed of themselves. I think his time here is done, but outright hostility to one of our own is poor form.

There was probably a 50/50 split of support for Muric and very audible booing. Why the hell anybody would boo their own player in a friendly is utterly beyond me.... but you only have to look at Social Media to realise the high moron level in our fanbase.

I look at some of the nonsense posted on here about him. Football ha a high moron level in its fan base, we’re not anything special.

Cipre looked good, an adequate back up for Greaves. Liked the look of Young and Hutch on thee right and Clarke does what he does best, cutting in from the left. Strangely thought Woolfenden struggled for some reason.

Woolfenden always looks better as part of a 3, or at least a 2.5 as we play it.

Finally out of the car park so thoughts on last night on 09:32 - Jul 30 with 843 views | Meadowlark | We left early. About 85 minutes. Loads of others doing the same, but traffic not too bad onto A12. Home in Lowestoft before 11.00 pm. Did we miss anything in the last 5 minutes?
Finally out of the car park so thoughts on last night on 09:38 - Jul 30 with 780 views | ArnieM | Did the local industrial estate fleece Town fans £7+ for parking again, ( when sny other day of the week its free)? The new Col U stadium like all these on the edge of town, stuck on an industrial park are souless.

Finally out of the car park so thoughts on last night on 13:09 - Jul 30 with 481 views | stonojnr | The thing about the car park & the traffic, imo you can't complain about it being a problem when you are contributing to being part of that traffic. You could have got the train and the same park and ride bus that goes to the same car park you were in, picks you up right outside the station. And does have stops on the way, you dont need to have parked a car or pre bought a ticket.it works like a normal bus And yet what did everyone do, hopped in their cars its only 20mins down the a12 ain't it. Then complain when everyone else had the same idea. Factor in next time that a consequence of driving is more traffic and more traffic delays and that you will be delayed.

I imagine the 50% support only felt the need to because of the booing, I admit I clapped louder to try unsuccessfully to drown out the morons
