Forest considering a new bid for Omari 16:58 - Aug 11 with 2714 views | BlacknGoldnBlue | According to Sky Sports and Brentford monitoring the situation. Its understood Hutchinson wants to play in Premier League (I'd be concerned if he didn't) We need to conclude this business with enough time to get our targets through the door and in a settled squad. We don't want to be getting to end of September and still getting players up to speed.

Forest considering a new bid for Omari on 17:08 - Aug 11 with 2523 views | lurcher | We will be doing business right up to the window closing. We are after players that want top flight football and will only come to us when that is no longer on offer.

If that’s the case it could be a hard slog, because said players will take weeks to gel. This squad needs sorting quick because it’s way to weak as it stands.

Correct. We're in a strange market where we almost need to wait for PL teams to sort most of their squads before we can get players in. Deals may have been drafted up but we can't get this person until they get their target etc. I suppose there are some players in our squad looking to move/go on loan who won't go until we've got our targets in. Roll on 1st September so we know what squad we are dealing with....!

Par for the course for parachute teams though, as you want higher end players they tend to be available towards the end of the window when clubs higher up the food chain have done their business. If you look at the business done by Burnley last year near enough all of it was in August.

It could be and still be better than the original £35m offer - e.g improved deal structure, easier to achieve top ups, bigger sell-on %, etc

Forest considering a new bid for Omari on 19:17 - Aug 11 with 1334 views | BloomBlue | As I keep saying I will be shock if a new bid of £40m is submitted. Brentford, Forest etc won't want to pay any more than £35m. It's the standard rumour situation of them trying to get Omari to go on strike and force a sale at £35m

On the other hand, if we don't want or need to sell, then suitors will have to bid enough to make us let him go. After all, they were the ones who let the release clause expire without matching the fee and conditions. I can't really see Hutchinson going on strike under those circumstances, he doesn't seem the type. McKenna's comments don't suggest he and the player are at loggerheads.

And don't the fake tanned morons at SSN love it? They just don't want these players to stay put - there's no news in it.
