Bamford an option? 15:43 - Aug 13 with 1210 viewsElderGrizzly

Or made of glass and not worth the hassle?

Looks like Leeds have his replacement lined up.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he was one we’d look at. Not sure for me, terribly injury prone and not a prolific scorer either. Would he be happy to be 3rd choice?

No really like for like with Hirst. We need somebody who can come on for Hirst after 70 minutes or step up if Hirst is injured.

I'd go back for Ellis Simms. Not settled at Cov but previously he was ahead of Hirst in terms of development. Good back up imo.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

He’s been dreadful for the last 2-3 years. Wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole

He’s a level above at his best, in terms of movement and finishing, a dash of arrogance and the Marcus’ about him in his prime.

Never fit though, and hasn’t done it for such a long time, also not a physical specimen, who moves defenders around, which as you say is probably what we need.

Mcburnie scored last night, he’s not popular, but he does the nasty stuff really well and gets goals at this level, that’s certainly the profile that would help.

A bully.., with an eye for goal. Daryl Murphy and Mick Quinn love child.

Yeah and reportedly on £70k+ at Leeds, can’t see us paying ev n half that amount. Some strong links around him going to his former club Boro but that would mean selling first and freeing up cash…

I'd prefer Batistuta.
